Sex Education for All: Training Service Providers to Support Autistic Individuals (SexEd4All)
Sex Education for All: Training Service Providers to Support Autistic Individuals (SexEd4Al) is an Erasmus + project focused on Training Service Providers to Support Autistic Individuals motivated by the critical need for Comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) for everybody, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Sexuality is a central part of being human.
Children and young people need to know about sexuality in terms of both risk and enrichment to develop a positive and responsible attitude towards it.
This should happen in a way adapted to their age, stage of development, and specific needs. In this way, they will be enabled to behave responsibly not only towards themselves, but also towards others in the societies they live in (WHO, 2010). CSE is critical to give young people the knowledge and skills they need to manage their health and form equal, fulfilling, and safe relationships free from discrimination, coercion and violence.

On 17 March 2025, in Luxembourg, we attended an in-person kick-off meeting hosted by the Coordinating organisation Family Planning Luxembourg.
During this meeting, we visited the Family Planning Center (https://pfl.lu/) and then the Autism Foundation of Luxembourg (https://www.fal.lu/en/), where they explained their daily operations.

At this meeting, Sina Svetulka presented the research methodology and the survey for professionals and caregivers. This survey will investigate the readiness of parents and professionals to practice comprehensive sex education.

Additionally, we discussed this project’s future tasks: the process for creating a guide on this topic, the development of an e-learning platform, and a series of educational videos. Finally, we also agreed on the dates for our upcoming meetings in 2026.
