Summer activities within the framework of the project "Encouraging and developing social and life skills in children with autism spectrum disorder"
During the summer period, we organized four outings to different locations in the City of Skopje. These activities were organized within the framework of the project "Encouraging and developing social and life skills in children with autism spectrum disorders", supported by the City of Skopje.
The following activities were carried out as part of the summer outings: a visit to a swimming pool, bowling, a visit to Vodno and a visit to Matka. With previously prepared materials for visual support, the children had the opportunity to learn about the basics of swimming together with a professional swimming coach, the rules of the pool as well as the rules for riding the cable car.
As a third activity, a visit to a bowling alley was carried out. All children had the opportunity to try this sport for the first time. With the help of visual support and practical learning, the children were introduced to the rules of bowling.
As the last activity during the summer period, we had the opportunity to visit the Matka canyon.
The children had the opportunity for practical learning and practice of social and life skills in the social environment in which they live.
