The STEAMing Ahead project team has created a book on STEAM activities for parents of children with autism. The book is available on the official project website.
This activity book contains STEAM activities tailored to the specific needs of children with autism.
In addition to science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities, it includes topics such as:
• An overview of autism spectrum disorders;
• Understanding STEAM education and its benefits for children with autism;
• Discovering a child’s strengths and challenges;
• Integrating STEAM disciplines into storytelling and adaptations for inclusive storytelling;
• Guidelines for parents on how to prepare the home for STEAM learning and how to integrate small, easy-to-do STEAM activities into daily routines.
