Participation on the training for teachers within the A-class project: Integrating and supporting students with autism in the mainstream classroom
In the period from October 10 to 14, within the A-class project a training for teachers was realized in Nicosia, Cyprus. The aim of the training was to introduce the teachers with the basic characteristics of people with autism, the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) method and how it can be implemented in the mainstream classroom.
As part of the “Blue Firefly” team 4 teachers from the mainstream school “J.H. Pestaloci” participated in the project. Within the training the team of “Blue Firefly” was responsible for introducing the rest of the participants with autism spectrum disorder and the basics of the ABA method.
On the project there were 37 participants from 7 partner organizations from Cyprus, Denmark, Croatia, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy and Macedonia.
