Inclusivity is extremely important, so with this course, you can learn different strategies for developing an inclusive environment for your students. During this course, you’ll also learn about the different types of schooling modalities for students with autism, including general special schools, autism-specific special schools, autism units within mainstream schools, and being in a mainstream classroom.

This training was created according to practical experiences, the latest data in the world, and based on research conducted on parents and professionals who highlighted their needs. The research was conducted under Erasmus projects conducted in the period from 2015 to 2020 in several European countries.

After the training, you will be able to:

  • understand Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • help parents to understand the unique profile of differences, strengths and difficulties for their child.
  • create curriculum for your students with autism in different school setting
  • understand the underlying reasons for challenging behaviors (the iceberg model and situational aspects) 
  •  identify and discuss the 7 senses and how hyper and hypo sensitivity can present.
  • explore the development and purpose of communication
  • develop an understanding of the social differences associated with the autism spectrum

Jasmina Troshanska

D-r Jasmina Troshanska, Associate Professor at the University of Tetovo is the President of the Association, a special educator and rehabilitator with 17 years of theoretical and practical experience in working with children with autism spectrum disorders and also a Montessori educator for children ages 3-6. In terms of science she is author and co-author of more than 10 Erasmus projects. During her work experience she has attended a number of training for evaluated treatments in the field of autism such as: ABA, PECS, TEACCH and Sensory integration. She has also attended and participated with her own papers in a number of conferences in the country and abroad. She appears as author and co-author of more than 30 scientific papers published in R. Macedonia and abroad. She is often hired as a professional associate at the Bureau for Development of Education, a consultant for day care centers and kindergartens and a lecturer in special education and rehabilitation studies. Since 2010 she has been actively working on international projects, holding education for parents and professionals, participating in forums, television shows, writing in the media and fighting to raise awareness of autism in society.
